I recently saw a beautiful chocolate cake that looked a like a basket with fresh strawberries on top. I'd like to make one of these but am concerned about those little gnats/fruit flies that sometimes appear wherever there is fresh fruit. A friend whose dad used to own a bakery, told me that there is something you can spray or put on the fruit to keep the little pests away but her dad passed away years ago and she doesn't remember what he used. Does anyone know what to do/use?
