How Would I Ship A Cake?

I was wondering, I would like to make a special cake for my neice, she lives 4 hours away. anyone have any ideas on how I could ship it and suprise her? Thanks Barbara

I remember reading on CC that someone on ebay was selling caramel cakes... well one of the CC members broke down and ordered a one layer cake which arrived in good condition, packed in a metal disposable tin with clear plastic lid - if memory serves. I'm sure many packing peanuts were used to prevent the cake from being crushed.

On the other hand, might be a good excuse for a road trip!!!!
