if you discover a cake is not completely done after it has cooled is it a lost cause? what would happen if you put it back in the oven? disaster? just curious, this has happened to me before and i just made another one.

Basically it's a done deal because all the chemical reactions have done their job. you could put it back in but it probably wouldn't save it. Maybe you could use it for cake balls though!
