I am trying to find some good punch recipes - I have a really good one that I use but I just got a punch fountain and my recipe is a slushy consistency and can not be put into the fountain. Does anyone have some good recipes? I like to be able to do different colors too. thanks

the recipes I prefer are slushy as well...there is one I have that is a mixture of cranberry juice, pineapple juice and 7up, but it kind of limits the color for you. Sorry I can't be more help. Allrecipes.com may have some good recipes.

I don't have any punch recipes, but would love some good ones myself so I'll give you a bump! I think everyone's getting tired of my hawaiin punch and 7up mixture icon_smile.gif Jodie

How about this one?

Champagne Punch
Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse,

1 1/3 cups fresh lemon juice
1 cup superfine sugar
1/2 cup orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
1/2 cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup cognac
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
2 bottles chilled dry Champagne or sparkling wine
Orange or lemon slices
Fresh strawberries, optional

Combine the lemon juice, sugar, orange liqueur, Triple Sec, cognac, and orange juice in a non-reactive bowl and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the Champagne and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
Pour into a decorative bowl or pitcher. Garnish with orange or lemon slices and fresh strawberries, if desired. Serve in Champagne flutes, wine glasses, or punch cups.

It takes less than 10 minutes to mix everything.

Here's another one. This one you dont have to spend that much money on liquor, hope you like it!

Sunrise Punch Recipe

1 quart fresh orange juice
32 ounces canned or fresh pineapple juice
2 cups coconut milk
1 liter seltzer water
1 pineapple, peeled cut into 1-inch cubes and frozen
1 pint of strawberries, hulled and frozen
1 orange sliced thin
4 cups light rum, optional

To a large punch bowl, add orange juice, pineapple juice, coconut milk and seltzer. Mix well. Place frozen pineapple chunks and strawberries in the punch to keep it cold. Float the orange slices on top of the punch for garnish. If desired, add rum.

I use fountains almost every weekend (pics in my Flickr website) and you're right, they are limiting ..... no sherbet, no fruit pieces, no pulp, nothing that will clog the fountain.

I use Sunny Delight brand punch .... a little more expensive than the $0.99 store brand colored water, but well worth it! I mix one gallon of yellow and one gallon of red. This combines a number of fruit flavors and makes a creamy orange-red color that looks rich. I add some pulp-free pineapple juice. *IF* you add any 7-Up, I only use about 1/3 of a 2-liter bottle per gallon. Too much 7-Up dilutes the fruit flavor.

Coconut milk is a great additive! I use this in any wedding that has a tropical (Jamaica, Hawaii, etal) theme. Adds a great fresh-POP to it!

Since these fountains don't have a refrigeration unit to keep the punch cold, you can freeze some of the punch and put the punch-ice-cubes in it. It looks really great when you have red punch ice floating in yellow punch and vice versa!

Tdybear, the second punch recipe I posted (Sunrise Punch), if you like you could prepare it without the rum and still is delicious. Kids will like it because of the sweetness of the coconut.

mmo88, that one sounds really good, do you know if the chunks of fruit will cause a problem for the fountain?

mmo88 Posted 23 May 2007 , 2:49am

Tdybear, perhaps the chunks of fruit might cause some problem. I will just do it without the fruit because really, they are just a garnish. Make a small amount (perhaps half) of the recipe and try it at home first. Let me know if you like it icon_smile.gif

Here's the punch I always make:

1/2 gallon lime sherbert
2 lg cans pineapple juice
2 2-liter bottles gingerale

yummy!

Made this punch for a wedding this past weekend. Worked great in the fountain.

1 can frozen orange juice (concentrate)
1 can frozen fruit punch (minute maid, concentrate)
1 can frozen white grape juice (concentrate)
1 can frozen lemonade (concentrate)
Mix individually with water to make 48oz each. Mix together. Add 2 liters of 7up.

I like to use one tub of Crystal Lite, 2 liter ginger ale. and pineapple juice. Don't pour the Crystal lite in the ginger ale - it will run over- mix in pitcher and then add pineapple juice.
