A Friend of mine did her daughters wedding using roses made out of coffee filters that she colored using beet juice. They were beautiful. On Marthe stewarts web site they show how to make these, you could probably do the same thing with rice paper.
May I please, pretty please be added to the list for a PM with instructions? Thanks soooo much!
Miriel if you are still feeling generous I would love the directions as well. Thank you so much!
OOPS! Just realized this thread is from 2007!
Hi Miriel, can I please also have a copy of the instruction? Please please please....
Thank you so very much!
So many people have asked for the instructions - I am almost embarrassed to ask too, but I would love to know how to do it and to see a picture of the flowers and butterflies! If you have the time, please email them to me [email protected]
Thanks so much!!!
I too would like the instructions if anyone has them and doesn't mind sharing.
Thank in advance,
Vickey

Hey all, guess what I have!!! From the SugarArt Ideas series "Rice Paper Flowers" by Margaret Hyde!! It's the book Miriel had scanned those pix from!! Now I was looking at the instructions -- they're very detailed with necessary pix, so I can't just type them out or you wouldn't understand how to do them. I tried scanning and the scans don't look very good. Any suggestions? I'm happy to share the instructins with y'all but I'm not sure how to do it (other than saying "get out there and buy that book!" http://www.amazon.com/dp/1856480720/?tag=cakecentral-20 )
Funny thing, last night i was trying to find something for $2 -$5 to make my cart eligible for Super Saver Shipping....This would have been perfect! I got a new paintbrush that i didn't need....Not that I need this!
To those of you looking, there is a tutorial on making rice paper roses. I think it is in the sketches and templates, or some other gallery. it's really hard to search on my phone, and my computer bit the dust. There is several pictures, and step by step instructions. Too fussy, if you ask me! I will make mine out of gumpaste, or buttercream...
