Can I make some fondant up ahead of time and roll it out but then store it somehow and then use it in a few days? Has anyone done this? sunflowerfreak thanks

you can make it early but I would noe roll it out until right before you need to

I did this with a fondant blanket I made for my bassinet cake. I rolled out my fondant and made my blanket but I needed it to stay soft and pliable for the next day to drape on my cake. I covered it with Saran Wrap and it worked out fine.

Ladyonzlake, how did you get it so the fondant didn't stick to the saran wrap?

It just didn't stick. If it does you could use cornstarch but I don't think you'll have a problem with it sticking. It just peels off easily.

I did this for my course III final cake. Press and Seal works really well because you can get most of the air out around the fondant piece so it doesn't dry out.
