Hi,
How do some of you decide on the price of your cakes. I have decorated cakes for about two years. Usually for family and friends. I don't charge if they buy all of the supplies. Several people at my daughter's school has found out that I do this; and have been contactig me to do cakes for them. An example; this weekend I am doing three cakes. A stand -up doll cake, a round, & a 1/2 a sheet cake. I quoted all of this for one person at $55.00. I really don't know if I'll make any money off of this. I could use some advice.
Thanks for any help!

Not really. I know I will need to buy more pans etc.. As I buy what I need; I will keep a tab. I'm guessing I will spend at least half of the amount I quoted to her in buying supplies. Most of the bakeries in my area sell their cakes more expensive than I have. This pricing thing is very confusing.
