When I made one I just baked my cakes then cut a little off the edge of my layers and stood the cake up on the cut off edge. It was pretty easy. I am sure someone can explain it better than me. Did you look in the gallery? There is a section in there for cake purses and you could try PM'ing someone.

I made one just last week, baked two loaf pans, one a little smaller than the other, chilled them and stacked them, then carved a little off the top, sloping towards the front. Crumbcoated and put fondant on. Decoration as in my fotoalbum, hth

Oh and don't forget to dowel them, I didn't have dowels so I used 3 kebabsticks, worked like a charm
