Niece's Graduation Cake

Hi All!

Just finished my niece's graduation from pre-school cake so here it is!

I wish my cakes didn't look so amatuerish but I guess I'm still an amatuer.....I keep comparing myself to alot of you amazing artists and guess I should stop doing that.

Please tell me what you think, any feedback would be appreciated!

WOW i love it! I think it looks professional. You should too. You did a great job and the cap and fondant people are great! I looked at your other cakes too and they are awesome. I love the puppy dog!

That is so stinking cute! You did a great job with the cap! I think just a little bit of touch up on the icing--where you can see the cake--is all it really needs. I really love the colors too!

Thanks everyone for the great comments! Smoothing cakes is my down fall! I just can't seem to get the hang of it! I'll just have to keep practicing!!!!

Personally, I think your cake looks very professional. It is much nicer than a lot I have seen in some shops where I live!!! Great job.

Oh and one other thing I wanted to add: take pride in your very sharp edges! Getting sharp edges on square cakes stumps even the best decorators out there!
