I am spending Fathers Day with not only my father, but my uncle & cousin, who is a new dad. Any fun ideas/pictures you can share that would be good for a large group of dads, some old, some new, all different professions....

All ideas are appreciated! I am fairly new to cake decorating, so nothing too hard please...I just finished Wilton Course 2, so I can work with buttercream & royal icings, but not fondant yet.

Be sure to look in the gallery for ideas, too.

You might want to do a large full or half sheet and make a digital picture of the three and if you do not have the printer to do the image take it to a bake shop that will print it out for you. I know some places will print custom pictures. I'm making two round carrot cakes with a very rich special icing and just writing on them. I may print out the text I want in the font I like and transfer the text after I freeze it, you might want to try a gel transfer like that or royal icing (I don't like royal transfers since the last time I tried they broke apart) look up doing them before trying, there is a lot of information that will help.

What professions do they have? Maybe you can do something that brings all of that together.

maybe something like a grill cake or a hamburger cake would work.

So I decided to go with a basic T-shirt cake...I think it turned out pretty good for only my 3rd cake!

I too am spending the day with many dad's! I am planning on doing a cake with "Dad" in the center of the cake and around that I will put everyones name on it.
