I just bought some AWESOME new pudding flavors (chocolate mint, chocolate caramel, chocolate chip) and I thought I had read or had a recipe for cake/cupcake fillings using a box of pudding. I cant find it anywhere. Anyone out there have a good recipe they can share with me??? Thank you!

I use the pie recipe on the box and use it as filling all the time. Very tasty. and those new flavors sound delicious. I saw them at my local grocery store yesterday.

I use whipping cream or pastry pride in place of the milk...maybe just less than is called for, for example 1 3/4 cups instead of the 2 cups for the small boxes. I mix the cream or pastry pride right into the powder, just like the box says then whip them with the mixer. It will stiffen fairly quickly and holds up very well....self-stabilizes. These also change the flavor just enough that they don't taste like 'pudding'.

I haven't seen the new flavors yet, heck, I can't even find white chocolate in anything but sugar-free!! icon_mad.gif For such a 'hip' state, California is sure behind! icon_lol.gif

I make a Bavarian filling using instant pudding mix and Pastry Pride, I'm sure these new flavors would work well and taste delicious.

The best and easiest filling is

1 lg box instant pudding mix
1cup heavy cream
1cup milk-

beat in KA with whip attachment until spreading consistency!

It is so yummy!

I also use the milk, heavy cream, and instant pudding recipe. It is so wonderful!!! I have also just used the "pie filling" directions and that worked well. [/quote]
