I am making a graduation cake that includes a stack of three books that I planned to make from fondant. I don't have any kind of pattern, (okay, I know it's just a rectangle) But I am wondering if there is a way to do it without having the pages be a huge hunk of fondant. That would make them so heavy. Any ideas on getting the shape and them still being hollow? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Candy

I just did my son's college graduation cake of three books. It is in my gallery. I iced the cake first with buttercream, used a comb on the sides for the pages and fondant/chocolate clay on the bottom, one side, and top of the cake. turned out great.
