Hello all, I was wondering how to go about making palm trees. I've looked around the site and the pretzel for the trunk is perfect. My real question is can I use a stiff buttercream for the leaves instead of using royal icing?

About a week or two ago I saw a candy mold in the shape of a palm tree and I've seen them used around the sides of round cake. Maybe that would help

I used a pretzel and fondant. I don't think BC would work, but royal probably would.
