I would love some help. I made my first MMF cake and while mixing and rolling the fondant seemed fine but when I went to put it on the cake it cracked between the top and the sides. Any suggestions, ideas or reasons for this I would greatly appreciate the help.

It's too dry. Try adding some Crisco.

Same thing was happening to me. I rolled out the fondant thicker - seemed very thick to me but another cake fanatic I watched did it even thicker. and I kneaded the fondant longer so that it was malleable in my hands. I used to knead for a minute not really knowing what to do, but now I knead it until I see it becoming flexible and manageable in my hands. Helped a ton because I havent had any more cracks. Also, smooth the fondant sides from the bottom up so that you dont force the fondant over the sides causing it to stretch. HTH! Jackie

Thanks, I have a feeling that may be the answer. I did roll mine pretty thin if you think 1/4 inch is thin and I didn't kneed it very long. Going to give your suggestion a try.
