I am making a cake for this weekend and need to know how far in advance can I make my fondant angel cake topper?

Normally, these are normally not to be eaten. It can be made weeks in advance. It will harden, but if someone was really intent on eating it, they could.

Far. All my figurines (you can see in my album if you want) were made well over a week in advance. Most, two or three weeks. It gives them time to harden and they are easier to handle.

hi!
im a newbie. and was wondering which king of fondant you plan on using? and does the mmf work as well as the rest for this kind of job? ive heard some people mix fondant and gum paste. i need to make some fondant letters and ribbon curls for a graduation cake will this method work?

MMF is a little softer but tastes way better. I mixed it with gumpaste and it was perfect and dried pretty quickly.

If you like you can look in my pictures, you will find a Hello Kitty cake. I made that figure about 3 weeks ahead. I hope that helps.
