I see a few mentions of Crisco being a good 'tool' when working with fondant. Dumb question perhaps - do you mean the oil or the shortening?

The shortening helps. I cover my work surface, hands and all tools with the crisco shortening and it helps when working with fondant.

I use Crisco too. Be sure to use a very light coat!

I read on here to use a small amount of the crisco shortening and I tried it. It really does seem to help a lot. icon_smile.gif
