Wire Curls

I want to make the curly wires found on the tops of cakes. How do I go about doing this? Help please! icon_cry.gif

Take a straw and cut so its flush or slightly below surface of cake.
Then add a little icing into it and take floral wire and shape however you want (you can add fondant or whatever to the wire) and insert into straw.
If the wire is thin enough you could use a coffee stirrer but make sure the wire will work for what you plan to do.
