I could spell out "EVERYTHING" with my letter cutters because that's what we do! LOL!

I'd love to see perhaps a dual theme again with Mother's and Memorial Days. People's takes on Moms and remembering those we've lost would be awesome!

My son got Sea Monkeys for Christmas. They finally hatched & were swimming around, he took them down to show his baby sister & OOPS dumped them all over the floor. He was so sad. Shh he is getting some more for his bday.

What?

I like the mom thing too.

shanzah67 Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 1:32pm

National Sea Monkey Day? There's a day for everything! icon_lol.gif I remember those things. I just loved them when I was a kid.

I like the idea of Moms and also Memorial Day.

mis Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 2:31pm

I like memorial day. Remembering our heroes.

heidisuesmom Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 6:29pm

MystiqueFire wrote that May 1st is Mother Goose Day, I think nursery rhymes would be a neat theme!
Of course Mom's favorite things would be nice...and remembering loved ones (Memorial Day) is always good but all I can think of for that is flowers!!!

mis Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 6:36pm

Ooh I didn't see Mother Goose Day. That would be a neat one to do too. Hmm, now I have to think which one I would vote for.

SweetieD Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 6:46pm

May 5th is Cinco de Mayo (and my birthday!) icon_biggrin.gif

momsandraven Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 6:51pm

May 8th is also National Teacher's Day, what a great excuse to make cookies and give them to the teachers as an appreciation for a job well done! icon_wink.gif

I also LOVE the Mother Goose idea. Okay, I'm not saying anything else til I finish my April cookies. icon_redface.gif

McMama Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 9:43pm

I love Mother Goose idea. There could certainly be lots of different cookies.

bobwonderbuns Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 9:50pm

My three votes are: Mom's, birds, and wildflowers.

(and yes, I'm still working on some royalty cookies but I'm recovering from a minor surgery so it may overlap into May before I get to post, if that's okay.)

Melvira Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 9:53pm

Your buns are fired girlfriend!! Surgery schmurgery... we want cookies!! icon_wink.gif But seriously, hope you're feeling better!

keonicakes Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 10:18pm

Love a tree day????? Did anyone see that movie SUPERSTAR with that girl from saturday night live? She played this geeky girl, Mary Catherine Gallagher who wanted nothing more than to be an actress and to be kissed by someone. so she got cought one day by a nun at her Catholic school "loving" the tree to practice kissing.
It was hysterical! Are these days for real? Where did you find this info at? Please tell me you made it up. Well if not I guess the truth really is stranger than fiction.

thedessertdiva Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 10:29pm

I didn't make it up...I swear (some of them I wish I did...). I have a calendar that at the begining of every month, lists the wacko and bizzare holidays and national _____ days for that month, Some are a hoot!!! I'll post at the begining of each month!!

keonicakes Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 10:33pm

That would be great! I think we should do something that will make people laugh this month. Put a twist on things and make it funny.

thedessertdiva Posted 26 Apr 2007 , 10:35pm

I want to see the cookie for this:

11 Twilight Zone Day

Bwaaahahahahahaaa!!!
