I noticed that many high end bakeries use flavored mousse to fill and ice thier fondant cakes. Does anyone have any mousse recipes or know a good place to get some? I don't find any in the recipe section of this sight.

I just pick the flavors I want and do a search on the internet for that particular flavored mouse recipe. I always find one or two, or lots, lol.

Citrus, cranberry orange, raspberry, so many out there and they are perfect in cakes.

I did a search on the forums for mousse recipes last week and found that some people use instant pudding mix and 2 cups heavy cream whipped together. I tried it with a chocoolate pudding mix this weekend, and it worked really well. Everyone liked it, and I'm sure the other flavors would work well also. Good luck! thumbs_up.gif

I made this chocolate mousse recipe this weekend and it was DELICIOUS!

1 - can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
2 square unsweetened chocolate
1 box (small one) chocolate instant pudding
1 cup heavy whipping cream (whipped)

Melt the chocolate squares, add the can of SCM, stir well. Add the box of pudding, stir well until not gritty (about 2 minutes) and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Fold in the whipped whipping cream and refrigerate for 1 hour.
