Ok, I've been decorating cakes for 3 months now (yes I'm a newbie/junior member icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif ) but I must say that I've found something that I can be really good at. I have always been artistic, but my interest in actual 'art' isn't pretty high at all, and I have a short attention span! I almost quit this craft after my struggle with the Wilton rose in course one, but I'm proud to say that I stuck it out, and now my roses look SOOOOOO much better......ok...umm...I'm getting away from the point! icon_redface.gif (You guys are so easy to talk to) icon_wink.gif

POINT BLANK.....I need help with a name! I know it will be a while before I turn this into a business, but I feel that naming it pushes me to excel. So, I have narrowed it down to 2 names..please give me some feedback and vote for your fav!!!....and thanks

1. Say Grace Cakes - (no slogan yet)
FYI-my grandmother's name was Grace & I thought it was cool to incorporate it with 'saying grace'

2. The Cake Genie - Bake A Wish

BTW...my name is Chaunte (pronounced Shon-tay) if you have any other ideas... icon_rolleyes.gif

I like the name Grace, but The Cake Genie sounds good to me. It makes me think you can take nothing, and turn it into something beautiful.

I like the Cake Genie. All of the other ones I thought of were too hoakie.

IMO, if you chose "Say Grace Cakes" you may offend potential non-religious customers without meaning to, and lose business before you get it.

Say Grace is cute but I am more likely to pick up the phone and call the Cake Genie.

I think it's neat that you want to include your Grandmothers name in your business. That being said though, I think The Cake Genie is a real attention getter and would be so cool for your biz! Good luck with whatever you decide.

Cake Genie for sure. I love the "Bake a wish". I agree that Say Grace is sweet but that it might limit your customer base for religious reasons. Silly, but true.

I see you have already agreed with the Cake Genie...but I have a sugegstion for the tag line. Perhaps

Baking up your wishes

Baking wishes

Bake a wish sounds a little chopped or incomplete to me.

cute name though.
