I had a request for petite fours today and have never made them to sell before. Does anyone know how to charge for them (i.e., each, dozen, etc.). Any help is appreciated as I need to get back to her ASAP.

at least $1.50 each/18 per dozen

you may want to make sure you have a minimum order listed i.e., 1 dozen or 2 dozen)

I would not charge any less than $1.75 each....and that's for small ones!

I hate making them so I always try to encourage them to buy a cake instead icon_smile.gif

I will only make the hand-molded ones that are in my photos.
For a simple decorated-like initial only or squiggles, I charge $2.50 each minimum of 2 dozen. For the fondant-accented ones, $3.00 each, minmum 2 dozen.

If they want regular petit fours, I send them to the 2 bakeries here that do them. Too messy for me.

Mac,
Those are so pretty. How do you get the boxes level on the bottom? I have the molds and have tried these several times but can't seem to get the bottom to be flat.
Maybe I'm stuffing them too much? What do you fill yours with?
Thanks,
Korkyo

korkyo--
Cut your cake shorter than the mold--some of mine are too high. Then fill and tap several times.
