I never measure my batter, I just fill until it's about 2/3 full. Here's a bump.

Do most people measure or just fill it around 1/2-2/3 full?

You don't need to measure. Just fill to 2/3 full with freshly made batter. If you use batter that's been sitting around for an hour or more, it will be puffy and give a false-full reading. If you have to do it this way, just weigh the first panfull (or measure as you fill) and use that measurement for the remaining pans.
