Hi everyone:
So I have been busy making cakes and forgot to put one of them in the freezer and left it out overnight. Problem: it too dried now. How can I save this cake. Before noticing it was too dry I cut out crosses with a cookie cutter. The little crosses look nice, however, too dry! icon_cry.gif

Do you think a glaze of some kind will restore the moist? icon_confused.gif Or should I just dump it? It really taste good. icon_rolleyes.gif

Any opinion is really appreciated. Help!
Thanks a million.

Tina

You may know about this glaze already, if not here it is...

1 1/2 confectioners sugar
3 T water
1/8 or 1/2 extract flavoring of your choice

Mix together and brush all over the cake. I would place it in a sealed container in a cool place and it should become moist.

Hope this helps!

Melanie

Hi Melanie:
Thanks a bunch. I wasn't sure that this would have work before. It's always so reassuring to know that someone elses has done and has been successful too.

Happy Holidays to you.

Tina,

Sorry, I forgot to say Cups for the C. S. and tsp for the flavoring.

you could make cake truffles by adding some liquid, icing, sprinkles etc.
