Folks,

Planning to bake my first ever cookies for spring celebration at my son's school.I have never baked cookies every.I love moist and chewy type cookies.

WHich one of the following recipe would be a good bet to start
1.no fail sugar cokkies
2. http://www.recipezaar.com/48000

I would like to decorate them with either fondant or royal icing.

Would love to hear any tips/experiances that would help make my first cookies the best icon_smile.gif

No fail sugar cookies are delicious, long lasting, and sturdy. They tend to be kind of hard when they are cooled off. (In my experience) They are very good for decorating and shipping but I wouldn't say moist and chewy. My family loves them.

I haven't tried the other.

I don't think they are moist either, nor are the chocolate version but they are very good and are complimented well with the icing, Alice's or Antonia's.
