Looking for some ideas as quoted by a customer.
"He is REALLY into outer space stuff and
I am attaching a solar system picture that might serve as inspiration."
Any suggestions or ideas.
Thanks,

How about baking a cake in a bowl...then use the mini ball pan for planets and the ball pan....for ...gees now I can't remember which is the biggest planet.....sad....but you could put them on a round board covered in dk blue foil...sun in the middle and the planets around it....whaddya think?
Cheers,
]Shirley
I agree with baking in pyrex bowls and mini-ball pans. Mise en place bowls are tempered glass and would work very well -- see picture at the following link:

You may want to consider airbrushing, as the rest of the planets have cloud covers so dense that you cannot see land.
FYI - Jupiter is the largest planet.

You could also do a sheet cake or round cake and use big and small gumballs for the planets.
I really like the idea of using the mini ball cakes too!
Post a pic!
I did a rocket ship cake for an 8yr old last year. I put his picture in the window so it would look like he was the astronaut.
I posted a picture in my photos

Thanks all. I was going to do a couple of planets with a simple space shuttle. But the customer added that her son was more into the aspects of space. So, this is what I ended up doing.
Thanks again,
Tanya
