well I have made a lemon cake (from a box) and put lemon filling that you find in a can between the layers, and my favorite is making lemon filling from a lemon meringue pit and using that.... and for strawberry... I cheated ... I used the filling in a can again, but also I have bought the strawberry flavored cool whip and stabilized it (using some recipe my friends mom had) and it turned out ok also....but actual home made fillings...other then the lemon from the meringue is all I have done... I'm so bad! icon_redface.gif

I have tried to work with whipped cream twice, once it never go firm and the second time it tasted bad. I have not used the recipe I posted. I just dont have any luck, i think if i needed to use whipped cream i would buy Pastry Pride or Richs Bettercream.
