I have to decorate a 1/4 sheet cake in a tie dye theme. I cannot find any examples by doing a search. Anyone have ideas??

I think this is the one I was thinking of.

I love that cake! I don't have an airbrush. Do you think if I iced it in circles of different colors of buttercream and then spread it across from the center it would give the same effect?

I've never made one, but I've seen them done using the food coloring spray and paper towels somehow, and also using transfer sheets.

She used spray colors and then took a spatula from the center out to make the effects.

Oops, after I read her description I see that she did airbrush. That means there is another cake on CC that looks similar and that person said they used spray colors.

Do a search for tie dye, tye dye and groovy (everyone describes them differently). Each search will bring up different cakes. Hope this helps.

If you go in the photo gallery, and do a search for "tie dye" you get a few cakes that used buttercream only. I hope this helps!
