I am going to be making a figure 8 race track cake for my nephew's 6th birthday this week. This is my first time making a race track cake. I was just wondering if anyone has any pointers.

You couls use two rounds and make it into a 6 for his birthday, you could sculpt the crs out of fondant and make the track grey...When I need inspiration I do a search under the gallery..there are so many great cakes there!!
