Does anyone know if you can use buttercream icing to decorate milk chocolate Easter eggs? Will it mess the chocloate up?

My mom makes marshmallow eggs every Easter. She dips these into chocolate and decorates them with BC. It works just fine. If you don't want to risk the decorations getting smushed I would use Royal.

I have a hollow egg candy mold, and I thought I would try making my own.
