What would you charge for a 12x18 (3 inch) cake with filling and
buttercream frosting? I need to make a few for a wedding.
Any Help is appreciated.

I honestlywould say it all depends on where you live...AND what type of filling. I would guess a price starting at $30 - $40, but I live in a smaller town.

Sorry if I didn't help much, but atleast you'll get a bump out of this.

Congrats on the order and good luck!!

I say no less than $45 for a 3 inch with filling, and for me that is just a basic roses, border type cake. But it is true, it depends on where you live. You should check your local bakeries and see how their prices compare to what you think you should charge.

I'm in a rural community and a basic 12x18 2" with no filling...just BC borders is $33. I'd charge $50 for what you're describing.

I agree with Phoov! I charge $33 for the regular 12x18 at 2" deep with just regular buttercream and simple design, for what you're describing I'd charge $50. thumbs_up.gif

Believe it or not, it really does depend on where you live. DO NOT go by the grocery store bakery prices.

The prices given hear are about what I would ask here in SW MI and that's probably on the low side.

vixterfsu, For a 2 layer 12x18 I would charge$54. Three layer thats one huge cake!

Hi candyladyhelen, we are building a second place down in Shallotte. I think you are right next to that right?

vixterfsu,

I live in a suburb of a major city... I just got $65 for my 12 x 18 cake similar to the one you're talking about. It was basic buttercream, in a horse-theme... I'm gonna try to attach it here...

It really does depend on where you are, I guess!!
