Quick! Delivery Charge- How Much?

I have 3 cakes to be delivered about 80 miles away (1hr and 30 minutes). Originally I was planning on meeting halfway to hand off but the MOG wants me to deliver to ensure all arrives safely. So 3 HOURS on the road for a cake!
I have no clue how much to charge as I normally don't go this far.
The total cake order is $270 if that matters.
My delivery rates are $25 for a determined local area and $1 per mile (one way) outside that area. It may seem like a lot, but I consider the cost of fuel, wear on the van and my time away from my family.
Good luck deciding.
I agree with pinkflamingo. With gas prices these days (our area is at $2.74 a gallon) and having to go that far you need to make it worth your while.
Definitely....$1 per mile, one way. That would be an $80 delivery charge, which will seem fair. They should be more than willing to pay for that. If not, then suggest they come and pick it up. A 160 round trip roadtrip, plus careful driving to ensure safe delivery will seem worth it for $80. Good Luck! Let us know.
Gosh my DH must be getting good because that is the rate he suggested! Thanks everyone!
You could use the Federal guidelines for mileage allowances, set by the IRS. Right now, I think it is 44.5 cents per mile, so you would be charging a $71 delivery fee.
Here is the URL for the IRS standard mileage rates:
