I have a cake to make for Sunday and need help with my idea. I want to cut letters and stars out of fondant and attach them to sticks to spell out Thanks Norm and stick these in the top of the cake. What would be the best way to attach the stick to the fondant shapes?

Thanks!

you can use royal icing to have the letters stick for you.

you can use floral wire if you want to have the stars floating in the air type.

dip the floral wire royal icing before inserting in cake.

good luck

I would cut out 2 of each letter and sandwich the stick in the middle. I have just attached the fondant to the stick by pressing it on and letting it dry for a couple of days, and it did just . But to be on the safe side I would cut 2 of each and let it dry for a couple of days.

Thanks for your help. I hadn't thought about doing two of each letter. I wasn't sure which would hold better royal icing or thinned down fondant. I didn't want the letters falling off during the party.
