Does anyone out there have a recipe for the hard candy (lolly) easter eggs. I would love to try and make them. I know they involve boiling water, glucose and sugar. Then when cool adding in confectioner's (icing) sugar. They come in all flavours like pepperming, musk, banana. They may just be an Australia thing. I am not sure. Hope someone can help. They are 2 hollow halves joined together with royal icing.
Anyone?

Hi there,
the recipe I use is:

4-5 cups sifted icing sugar
1 1/2 ozs water
1 heaped teaspoon gelatine
flavouring & colouring to suit

Method:
Heat water and gelatine until dissolved. Gradually add some icing sugar until mixture becomes thick & sticky, then turn out onto board. Kenad by hand until mixture becomes a stiff dough, knead in colouring & flavouring now. Roll our sugar paste, dust moulds with cornflour, and then place paste into mold... allow to harden slightly before tipping out. Glue halves together with royal icing... et voila! candy egg!
