Hi,
I am in course II and I am constantly seeking good books/magazines for ideas! I love this website!!! I would love to hear recc. for good idea books/magazines....ones that are NOT tooooo challenging for a beginner!! Thanks in advance.....
(I will wait with keys in my hand to head over to Barnes and Noble with the reccomendations!!! )
lol
The book that they are giving away as a prize for the Mother's day contest, the Whimsical Bakehouse, looks really great. I saw it one day at Barnes and Noble, it had great ideas on how to mix colors, do choloate work, lots of really great ideas for kids cakes, and recipes (I've heard several folks on here rave about). I'm kicking myself however because I didn't buy it that day, someone must of bought it quickly because they haven't had a copy since. Guess I'll just have to enter the contest or order my own
Lindy Smith's books are great. You'll see the covers and think they may be difficult but once you see the directions you think...I can do this!
Whimsical Bakehouse is great, as well as Colette Peters, Nicholas Lodge, Toba Garrett, American Cake Decorating Magazine, Mailbox News publication...somebody stop me!!!!!
The last book I bought was one of Lindy Smith. She is just great. I am really a book freak, and buy several books a year. If you find out what you are interested to learn, and then find a book of that. Most of my books are British english.
DedeWilson has good cake decorating books too. I have a lot of Wilton cake decorating magazines as well! I love those the most b/c they give you all the details/instructions for each cake in the book.
I can't stop myself when I'm at Barnes & Noble!! Ohhh the books they have! I wish I could buy them all at once! I have lots of Wilton books. I just find a pic I like & I try to do it! Usually it comes out great! Good luck!
miss missey, where can i order a copy of that book?
...and turtle-can you order cake books from their website?
