I was thinking about using the champagne cake recipe on this website for my brother's graduation cake, but I'm at a loss for a filling. His graduation is in May in Tucson, Arizona, so it will be kind of warm by then. Can anyone suggest a good no refrigeration filling for this cake? Thanks so much!

Fresh fruit fillings are great with champagne, especially strawberry and raspberry!
A peach flavored filling and frosting on the cake could be a Peach Bellini cake, and along those same lines, a lightly orange flavored fill/frost would be a Mimosa.
