I want to try using candy clay. What do you use to color candy clay? Can you use the paste colors? Do you add the color when melting or after?

Some people have used the paste colors for coloring candy melts with good results.You should however use Candy colors which are made for oil based candy unlike the paste colors which are waterbased.If you don't have candy colors the paste will do in a pinch providing you don't need alot.You add the color after melting and mix just like tinting icing.
