Hello!! i have a question. I made Dawns Awesome BC!! its soo good! i was decorating a cake w/ tip 2d.. did the basic flower... not the swirled one.. but when i would put it on the side of the cake... id squeeze out the BC... then when i pulled away, some of the leaves would pull away with it?? it wouldnt really stick?
any ideas why?

How was the consistency of your icing? It would probably work better with stiff consistency.

I GOT A kITCHEN AID.... DO YOU THINK MAYBE I MIXED IT A LITTLE TOO MUCH?

I was thinking it might be too stiff. If the buttercream were a little thinner/wetter, the flowers might stick better and not pull away with the tip.

Sometimes adding a little piping gel to your BC helps!

I never thought of that. Would piping gel also give it a shiner color too?
