I don't speak Spanish, but I hope you're not naming a bakery Cakeria? Sounds to much like an illness: diarrhea, gonorrhea, cakeria.....
Actually, she's addressing Cakeria, a frequent poster in the Spanish forum, asking her:
"Two things: Did you repair your oven? And what did you decide to do with your nickname?"
As far as the name Cakeria, I think it's a nice Spanish/English hybrid, since "eria" suffix usually means a place you can get something. E.g. a pasteleria is a bakery and a fruteria is the greengrocer.
I guess it's all about what you're used to hearing.
I'm just laughing here better yet cracking up reading your posts. OK so the thing with my name is that like you, TastyKake, my husband thinks that if you read the name is Spanish it sounds gross. Anyways, I did a poll and almost everyone said my name was OK so I'm keeping it for now.
I like Cakeria. I can not pronounce Panderia correctly. My MidWest accent is too strong and it sounds like Pan-durr-reee-a.
I think La Panaderia is cute but then again in ohio i think most peeps would think you sold "pans" or cookware. O well.
Viva La Cakeria
