My creative well has run dry! I need new ideas for decorating Valentine cupcakes--something different than sprinkles, or fondant hearts.
I would appreciate any ideas.

I love that cupid cupcake from the site that momsandraven posted. That would be something different...maybe instead of the cereal for hair, you could make frosting hair.

I like the cupid too. Rice crispy treat ceral would taste better, or mabe coco crispy's for brown hair. I may try those too.

For my son's preschool class I am doing a "Wild About You" jungle themed valentine party. For the cupcakes I am making each one decorated like a different jungle animal. Maybe think completely outside of the traditional valentine's box and come up with a creative play on words.
"Your my 'sole' mate"- footprints
"I dig you"- pail and shovel
"Ape over you"- monkey faces

I wish you good luck and creative thinking!

How about little bows and arrows or lips? X and O's?

Or, if you have the time little cupids would be cute sitting on white clouds of icing on top of a red iced cupcake.

My Granddaughter and I made royal icing butterflies for the top of her cupcakes. She needs 36 for her class valentine party. We are striping the icing for a multi colored effect and putting the butterflies on top. I have done this before and it is very pretty.
