l used to sculp figures in marzipan, but now l used fondant because the colours are much brighter, but the fondant is just not strong enough, so when l put everything together, the skirt is not strong enough for the weight of the upper body part and head!!

so l look for people who have experience and who can help me with this.

thanks a lot.

I've found if I use fondant it definitely works best for me if I do it in segments, letting each part dry completely. That said, it takes forever. So now I do 50/50 gumpaste/fondant and it woulds much better for me.

I've recently switched to gumpaste for my figures but every now and then still do fondant. I always use a lollipop stick as a base and wrap everything around that. Good luck!
