The Things We Do For Our Kids!

this week i had no orders and was looking forward it, but low and behold i realised that its my son luca's 3rd birthday on friday.. i have already been through my other three kids birthdays and made them all a cake so i thought i have to do one..

i decided to have a go at a 3d lightening mcqueen cake, well i finished him today, but WOW it was time consuming and a lot of work..

so here he is, my labour of love for my little boy...

i'm really happy with how he turned out and Luca absolutely loved it. (he saw him today, thursday).

its such a shame that this time tomorrow there will be nothing left of him..

Great job! My daughters like Lightning McQueen too! It seems to me that when you see your child's face light up when they see their cake it makes all the hassle and time that it took to make it so...worth....it!!

Did you ever say a mouthful here! My little granddaughter can easily convince me to obtain for her about anything she wants!
It is fun learning to decorate and be able to make these really awesome cakes for these wonderful little bitty people!

I had just clicked on this thread when my soon to be 2 year old walked in....he took one look at your cake and started grinning...and is now mad that he cannot see it while I type............
