FOndant has no shelf life...it can be at room temp for months, the only thing is, it will get so hard...but edible wise, it's good for months..I made rose last March and theyt are still good...

It is a loonng time. I have had some for several weeks, and I check it every week, and it still tastes fine. Keep it wrapped real tight.

it's sugar, sugar is a sort of preservative. It may outlast us.

If it is exposed to air, the exterior can become crusty and will not recover. Make sure it is very carefully wrapped, not just in platic wrap. I use foil and an airtight container and it works great. It can be frozen, too. Just let it thaw and dry the condensation and it is good as new.
