Hi Everybody!

I have seen some high heel shoes made of fondant (or gumpaste?) on the web but I don't remember where. I would like to know how to make them. I think they are so cute...Anybody knows?

Thanks icon_lol.gif

The only shoe i've made was on this cake. I suppose you can use the same method. I made myself a wedge out of fondant and covered it in plastic wrap. The height of the wedge will be the height of how you want your shoe to be. Then i drew a shoe sole on a piece of baking paper, rolled out my gumpaste and cut it using the outline. I then put this piece of cut gumpaste on top of the wedge to dry.
I then made another shape out of fondant so i could mould the front of the shoe on top of it, it needed to be the same size as the front of the piece of gumpaste i had cut earlier. I covered ths fondant mold in plastic wrap and them moulded the gumpaste on top of it, and let it dry. I then stuck the top of the shoe to the earlier made sole. I made a heel out of gumpaste and stuck it to the bottom
I hope all this makes sense.

There are a few in the gallery here on CC, maybe even a tutorial, I'm not sure, but there is a Kerry Vincent book that has them in it. I have a print-out called Romantic Foot First that came from KV book
"Romantic Wedding Cakes". HTH Janice
