Anyone have a recipe they've tried and love? If you could share I'd be so very grateful! icon_smile.gif

You could do a buttercream and add strawberry flavoring. Color it pink if you want!

What if I used a strawberry jam and mixed it with Buttercream? Would this work? Any ideas or experiences you can share would be appreciated. I want something simple, but tasty. Don't have a double broiler. Still want to thank Sweetstuff for the recipe! I might use it, but would have to improvise.
I've also thought about just adding smashed strawberries to buttercream.
What are your thoughts???
What about adding cream cheese to the frosting?

I had a request for white strawberry icing for one of my cakes. I just made buttercream and used strawberry flavoring (lorann oils) to flavor it. They loved it.

The strawberry jam sounds just a little too sweet. I think the best idea would be adding the smashed strawberries.

Is this something you can buy in the supermarket? Is lorann the brand name?
Thanks. : )

I had just talked myself out of that idea anyway. I think the jam is better used as a filling. Thanks. : )
