I am just starting to delve into this for the holidays-

I plan on using the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe- shall I make these the night before I want to decorate?

I plan on using Antonia's recipe- Do I outline and flood cookies with one color in first step and let them dry for 24 hours AND then decorate with other colors?

I am open to any suggestions on how to do this the most simple way-

Thanks a bunch icon_smile.gif

You can make them the night before.. I have frozen them with no problem (baked of course and let thaw before decorating)

In my experience you do not have to let dry for 24 hours unless it is a super dark color lke black because they bleed. You can just let them set up for a bit (If I am being impatient, I place them on a cookie sheet in my oven with only the light on for about 15 min) Hope this helps! Happy Decorating!
