hi!

ive got my first order!! weee
im making a princess castle cake (thanks to all the lovely cakes on cc) for about 35 kids and 30 parents. the client said she wanted to cut small pieces and so i should possibly make a cake for about 45-45 people.
how much cake should I make? i have no clue! she also said she wants thin layers. how do i do that? i feel like that will compromise the look of the cake.

Thanks everybody!

Are you going to be using the castle cake pan or just doing it free hand?

You can always torte the cake to make layers with the leveler

I used the 12x12 square pan and put the spiderman cake pan on top of that and it was more than plenty and we had about 35-40 people at my sons party,
hope this helps

If you are using the castle pan why not stand it up on top of a single layer square pan. Maybe a 1/4 sheet cake. Just be sure to use some dowels or bamboo sticks to keep it up. Then for the bottom square cake you could make green grass and use flower sprinkles or make flowers. You could also add a small princess standing in front of the castle and maybe a carriage.
