Buttercream Or Not To Buttercream ?
Decorating By angelkiss013 Updated 19 Aug 2013 , 2:35am by kazita
(For the cake that I have to do friday ) A friend asked me to make her hubby a cake with a fishing theme.
So I decided to go with a BCT tranfert ( instead of a fondant ) An image of John and Garfield...since I know that he really like the books .
And my next question is : Wich BTC is the best ? I know there is a lot of recepies , but wich one works the best ?
And for the dreamwhip frosting , can we use it for a transfert ?
I know that it's not the first time the question was asked, but there so mutch different recepies , I don't know what to do !
with milk or not
with tarter crem or not...
And thanks for all of your ideas...I'm keeping them.
And if I'm proud of my cake , you will see my fisrt cake !

cali4dawn's recipe for BCT (Buttercream Transfer) seems to work the best; and even if you are proud of it still post the pic of your cake

Hello mOuse. Yes , i saw cali4down technique for BCT , but my question was more for a buttercream recipe.
I don't know what recipe to use...
And thanks for taking the time to answer my question

angelkiss013,
The buttercream recipe that I use for the frozen buttercream transfers is located in the recipes in this forum. Just go to recipes, click on frostings, and go to "buttercream for frozen buttercream transfers" (submitted by cali4dawn). This recipe works wonderfully for the transfers, and tastes good too. I hope this helps.
Thanks sweeterbug...and do you use the same recipe for the frosting ?
Maybe it sounds silly to ask , but I'm a newby in cake decorations...
Thanks for you fast answer too
Angelkiss
AI p.m. you my recipe for future inquiries you can go to the top of this page and type what you're looking for in the search bar....but I don't have a problem answering questions here either.
HAPPY BAKING! !
