How far in advance can I make them and have them still taste fresh? Can I start making them a week in advance and store them in an airtight container? I've never made more than one batch at a time and they don't last long in my house. So I have no idea how long they keep.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

I am making mine now for next week and the week after. I will freeze them and take them out the night before to decorate. I haven't tried decoating them before freezing.

What do you freeze them in? A baggie?

I did this once and I bundled them in parchment, then put them in a baggie. They were fine a week later when I took them out.

Just make sure you freeze before decorating. If you have a chest freezer that is ideal for freezing. If not, try to place them in the back of your freezer.
Good luck!
