Shopping at the store and my 6 year old yelling across the aisle "Mom I can't but this because its not on clearence huh?"

Eating lunch at the sizzler they have a little dessert buffet for kids. My DD was about 4 and we let her go and get some dessert by herself. The nexst thing I hear is " Daddy this is goooood!" we look over and she has the serving spoon for the pudding in her mouth and was going back in for more. icon_surprised.gif

At church I was going up to get communion and my DD was walking with my grandmother who uses a cane. They were a few ppl in front of me. I couldnt really see them to well since there was ppl in front of me but I did notice that ppl were staring and giggling. When I was able to get a look it was because my DD was pretending like she had a cane and was walking hunched over like a little old lady. She was about 3 my grandmother told me if I was embarassed can I just imagine how she felt. LOL icon_lol.gif

At the grocery store when we went shopping we had a basket full of food. We get to the register and my DD tells the cashier "We get to get alot of food cuz my mom has money today." Making me feel like if she lives in a house with no groceries. icon_redface.gif

At a restaurant, again when she was 3 we were leaving and my DH sent our DD back to leave the tip on the table. She decides to skip and run so she trips, she goes sliding face first to the floor in front of everyone before I can even start my way to her she jumps up throws her hands in the air and yells "And she gets the touch down !" She had the ppl laughing Oh my goodness it was too funny.

I love my DD and I wouldn't change a thing about her...........except maybe her cleaning habbits. icon_lol.gif

Let me start by saying that THIS is post #500 for me!! WOOT!! icon_biggrin.gif

Okay, 5 embarassing things I have done...
*Passed out in friend's raspberry bushes in a drunken stupor (many years ago!)
*Lost the top of my swimming suit when I dived in the water.(pre-breast feeding days, thankfully! LOL)
*Passed gas (walking toots) while giving my 'sales spiel' at a home party. I was so embarassed I completely lost my train of thought and had to practically start over. I thought I was going to die!
*Got home from the grocery store one day and realized I had been shopping for the last 3 hours with a huge hole in the butt seam of my pants.
*Got caught doing the 'nasty' with boyfriend in a public place. (really, I'm a much tamer person now. You guys are all going to stop talking to me after reading this!)

1. When I got engaged--and I couldn't stop smiling even though by the end of the evening my cheeks hurt!

2. When on our first vacation together my husband farted in his sleep and jumped out of bed and yelled "Did you hear that?! It sounded like a gunshot!!! And then ran out to the balcony and over to check down the hallway of the hotel--and then he FINALLY realized just what that "gunshot" was! It was SO hysterical!

3. When I was pregnant with my son, I had read Genesis 38 and how when Tamar was giving birth to her twins that one stuck his hand out first and I thought (and even said out loud) "That's crazy--what kind of baby is born by sticking his hand out?" And guess what? My son was born hand first! I REALLY laughed at that--sometimes I think that God has the best sense of humor! My son kept that hand on the top of his head for a good two weeks after he was born!

4. Anytime I talk to my best friend. We just crack each other up. My husband doesn't even ask who I was on the phone with--he can tell by how fast I'm talking and how much I'm laughing.

5. When I watch NBC's "The Office"--it is THE funniest thing ever!

5 cleaning or cooking shortcuts you've learned!

dodibug Cake Central Cake Decorator Profile
dodibug Posted 30 Jan 2006 , 3:53pm

1. Use a big bowl for all my "garbage" while cooking (even though Rachel Ray gets on my nerves I got this from her). Makes clean up so much easier

2.Use packeaged yellow rice that I doctor up and frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts for my chicken and yellow rice. Throw everything in together and bake!

3.Just learned the other day about "hot spots"-places in your house that are always messy. Now I clean my "hot spots" in the morning and at night.

4. I always keep some frozen ravioli, frozen veggies and jar of sauce around if I need a very quick but decent dinner

5. Organized my canned goods by alphabet-a little Sleeping with the Enemy-but I can be disorganized a bit so at least I know what I have while I'm cooking or going to the store.

5 more cooking and cleaning shortcuts (I know I could use all the help I can get-lol)

lotsoftots-I almost fell out of the chair reading #2!!!!

1. One of the first things I learned in Home Economics class was to organize the kitchen. Always put things closest to where you use them.

2. I have a carry all that I put my cleaning supplies in and carry from room to room as I am cleaning.

3. Don't allow smoking in the house. When I quit smoking and quit allowing it in my house, it cut the cleaning in half.

4. I live alone and on a fixed income so buying groceries is tough. I buy large packages of pork chops, hamburger, chicken, etc. I make hamburger patties, seperate the chops, chicken, etc. and put them on cookie sheets in the freezer. Once they are frozen, I pop them off and put them in zipper zip loc bags so I can take out one at a time. Most of the time I use my George Foreman grill and just put them on it frozen.

5. No matter that I have a dishwasher, when I start cooking for a bunch, I make dishwater and do my utensils and pans as I go. Saves so much time after dinner.

Name 5 favorite things to do when you get together with your friends (guys or gals).

Winter? Here in Missouri we haven't even had what I call winter. Have had 50 and 60 degree weather all through January. Crazy! I figure winter will decide to get here about March. My mom always said sending all these rockets to the moon messed up the seasons. icon_lol.gif I'll leave the list to someone else--just wanted to comment. icon_biggrin.gif
