Hi all,

I just wanted to clarify, is powederd sugar/confectioners sugar the same thing as icing sugar?

For the life of me I could not find the first two in my supermarket (im australian) so went with icing sugar and my fondant turned out ok so Im guessing I got the right thing but would love to know for sure for next time.

Genuinely,

As Far as I know they are the same thing. I have used powdered sugar in my recipes in place of icing sugar. I think it is just called different things in different countries

Hey MissTaz

Welcome to CC, and yes we call powdered sugar, icing sugar so you just need to buy it at the supermarket no need to go searching for a special product......lol

cheers
